Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Trouble falling asleep; little arguments that turn into big fights; and avoiding emails all are signs of stress. Stress can feel like anger, anxiety, sadness, or fatigue. It feels like headaches, achy shoulders, and stomach aches. As a Certified Compassion Fatigue professional with ten years of experience working in healthcare and behavioral health settings, I can help you learn how to manage stress and reduce its impact on your life.
Professional Experience
Through talk therapy I’ll ask you to take an active role in challenging thoughts and behaviors that are causing you suffering. In return, I’ll provide the skills and insight you need to do so in a safe and supportive environment. My role as a therapist is to listen with compassion and provide different perspectives without judgement.
I lean into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness to help people become aware of their full self and let go of behaviors that are no longer serving them—like perfectionism, self-sabotage, and unhealthy coping patterns. What I love about these therapeutic orientations is that they strengthen the connection between brain and body. My experience working in integrated health settings has shown me how vital it is to take care of both our mental health and our physical health.
I am a licensed mental health counselor and provide both in-person and virtual visits for adults in New York State. I am a trained Telemental health therapist with four years of experience working through video and phone sessions for those times when you need a little more flexibility.
